The ask
The deal team of twelve has barely slept since August. We sign on the 3rd. I want to take all of them to dinner in London the week after, somewhere they can watch the kitchen working, not another hotel ballroom. Up to $10k.
The gift
A private chef's table for twelve inside the working kitchens of a Mayfair hotel. One walnut table faces a marble pass, where each course of a tasting menu is finished and plated in front of them, with wines from the hotel's list. We have a menu printed for the night with the date of signing at its head. A wax-sealed card for each guest arrives in the linen box.
Why it's extraordinary
After months of conference rooms, they spend one evening watching a hotel brigade do skilled work at speed, for them, and nobody has to present anything.
